Cheering support for a refugee youth soccer team

Requesting Organization:
Capital Community Athletics
Request Description:
While opposing soccer teams often have a crowd of parents and fans cheering them on, many CCA refugee youth play without anyone on the sidelines for them. You can make a big difference just by showing up.
Come out to a Saturday game this fall or spring, bring some halal snacks & sports drinks, cheer for the team, and stay afterward to connect with the coach and players. It’s a simple but powerful way to show love to your newest neighbors and help refugee youth feel welcomed and valued here in Sacramento.
