In our community, there is a growing number of vulnerable youth and families in crisis. Through our annual Difference Maker campaign, YOU can be a part of the solution.
We know that needs escalate during the Holidays so each year from November 1st - December 10th, we provide easy ways to meet tangible needs in our community from Christmas gifts to funds for meals.
Join us in supporting vulnerable youth, children and teens in foster care, single parents, refugee families and caregivers around the Greater Sacramento Area.
There is something each of us can do to MAKE A DIFFERENCE this Holiday Season!

Here are 4 ways you can make a difference for kids & families in need!
You can collect items yourself, get friends and family involved or mobilize your church or community service organization to help.
Sign up links and more details will be available in late October and if you have any questions please email our Love in Action Program director, Christina Moe, at christina@defendingthecause.org.

Make Christmas special for local kids in the foster system or refugee/at-risk families. Shop our Amazon wishlist or purchase & deliver new, unwrapped gifts to the Alliance Office.

Bring relief to those in need by providing a Holiday meal. We will be accepting $50 & $100 gift cards to local grocery stores which will be distributed to aged out youth, caregivers, and families in crisis.

Encourage a local foster parent or caregiver by putting together a themed
Holiday gift basket.
This is a great way to support those caring for kids on a daily basis.
