Aging UP's mission is to empower youth with experience in foster care to successfully transition into adulthood. They accomplish this mission through three pillar support services of one-to-one mentoring, positive recreation and independent living skills. Services are available to youth between the ages of 13 and 19 who reside within the greater Sacramento region.

For the past 42 years our non-profit women's health clinic in Sacramento, CA, has provided women with free medical care and alternatives to abortion as we've proclaimed the hope of the Gospel. Our brand new state-of-the-art OB/GYN medical practice offers free comprehensive medical care, abortion healing, and material resources to those in need. We believe women deserve alternatives to abortion clinics and a place that will not financially benefit from any choice they make. This is why Alternatives exist.

Capital Community Athletics offers hope through athletics for refugee youth, seeking to unite neighbors from around the world and across the street. Our programs include boys' and girls' soccer, boys' cricket, and a girls' run team.

Child advocates of placer county

CASA Placer is a bridge between the most vulnerable in our community and caring individuals who want to help. They run the local Court Appointed Special Advocates program, where they hire and train volunteers within he community to advocate for foster children in the court, to prevent abused, neglected, abandoned and at-risk children from becoming lost in the Juvenile Dependency and/or Delinquency Court system.

Compassion Planet empowers aged-out foster youth and at-risk youth to overcome personal obstacles, achieve independence and reach their fullest potential.  They accomplish this through a one-year Mentoring Program which includes over 1,200 hours of life skills coaching, personal mentoring, group processing and work experience in trauma informed environments. Employment in their multi-site enterprises, such as Deer Creek Farm and Compassion Thrift, provide the essential building blocks to realizing their dream of independence.

Dress 2 S.O.A.R.

Dress 2 S.O.A.R. is a program that engages at-risk foster youth, to overcome their relationship/trust issues, and educate them through apparel and fashion to stand taller and build their confidence. They hold style and character workshops for 20-30 foster teens where stylists give them the tools to look and feel confident interviewing for a job, teaching them to dress for the workplace, and understanding the character traits that help them keep a job.

The Gathering Inn provides homeless women, men and families the dignity and support they need to become active members of our community. TGI offers a complete continuum of housing and supportive services for homeless individuals which include mental health services, education and training as well as resources for daily living along with compassion and encouragement.

Heart Gallery of Sacramento

The mission of the Heart Gallery of Sacramento is to improve the lives of children in foster care by promoting permanency and adoption primarily through a collection of portraits of children waiting for adoption or guardianship in Sacramento County. The portraits, which help to capture the spirit and personality of each child, are displayed within our community to raise awareness and recruit permanent adoptive families.

Heart to Heart provides adoptive families in the Greater Sacramento area (domestic and international) with skills and resources as well as give them opportunities to build relationships with other adoptive parents facing similar parenting issues, thus preventing adoption disruption. Mercy Multiplied is a nonprofit Christian organization that helps young women break free from life controlling behaviors and situations, including eating disorders, self-harm, drug and alcohol addictions, unplanned pregnancy, depression, sexual abuse, and sex trafficking. Their residential program is voluntary, biblically based, and completely free of charge to young women ages 13-32. Their goal is to help residents permanently stop destructive cycles, discover purpose for their lives, and become productive and thriving individuals.

Safe Haven share

Safe Haven SHARE (Assistance, Responsibility and Empowerment Program) assists women and children leaving domestic abuse, in the only long-term (5 year), structured program in the area. We aim to not only help in their escape, but to come alongside them as they navigate a new life, with support in all areas of their life for the following five years.

Safe Refuge for Children and Families provides short term care for children of families in crisis. The main goal of the Safe Refuge Program is to keep children out of the foster care system and to help family units stay intact. Through temporary housing, church members can tangibly love their neighbors, practice hospitality, extend Christ-like compassion, and proclaim mercy to the most vulnerable in our communities.

SPH is a unique organization providing no-cost physical, emotional, and spiritual health care to women and families before, during, and after pregnancy. Their licensed medical professionals and the specially trained volunteer Patient Advocates provide pregnancy services, ultrasounds, STI testing and treatment, and nursing consultations. SPH also offers prenatal classes and parenting classes, as well as maternal and infant assistance.

The Swing of Faith is bringing golf to fostered youth. They rent golf simulators and do lessons indoors or on the course.

xHope's mission is to empower the at-risk child by providing hope, love, education, and a forever family. They partner with Redeemer House in Jinja, Uganda to see orphans rescued, loved, and placed in forever families through resettlement and foster care. Locally,  xHope advocates and provides essential supplies for children waiting to be placed in forever families through foster care and adoption.
