The adoptive father and three of the children are Deaf, making ADA-compliant smoke and carbon monoxide detectors with visual strobe alerts essential so they can receive emergency warnings. Community support to purchase these specialized detectors will help ensure every member of the family can respond quickly and safely in the event of another emergency.
